About the Book

Compilation of Minnesota images from over 20 years in this 240 pages book

About the Book

To make the invisible visible – and to make the visible transparent. Looking for a reality just behind objects. Often this reality can be a sense of abandonment, hopelessness and cold.

About the Book

Sometimes, it is good to take a moment to reminisce about our family’s pioneer past and humble beginnings right here in Minnesota and how they got to where they are today. Their primitive life in pursuit of free land can have the affect of stirring appreciation for our earthy roots.

Minnesota is a state with nearly sixty percent of its population living on the ever expanding island that is the Twin Cities, an island of lifestyle in an ocean of cornfields and soybeans, where there is good espresso, wireless internet connections and a couple of orchestras and a dozen theaters. But it wasn’t always like that. Minnesota has like other upper Midwestern States some very rural beginnings.

About the Book

The Great Recession – which officially lasted from December 2007 to January 2009 – began with the bursting of an 8 trillion dollar housing bubble. The resulting loss of wealth led to sharp cutbacks in consumer spending.

About the Book

I gave myself a simple assignment: Photograph 50 random strangers. The idea was to document what ordinary Minnesotans look like.

Sharing a few moments and collaborating—is an exhilarating exchange between subject and photographer. This series of photographs allowed me to catch a glimpse into the lives of people I would have never met, at least not without my camera in hand.

About the Book

By and large aeronautical engineers do not set out to create beautiful, graceful aircraft. The aircraft design process calls for a machine that is functional, efficient on many levels and aerodynamic.

Grace and beauty are not normally design considerations. And yet the obvious by-product of the aircraft design and building process is that some truly remarkable aircraft have been manufactured that look a lot like sculptured art. My images try to capture the elegance of some of those aircraft and show otherwise functional aircraft in a perhaps, new and different way.
